| Description |
| In 1988, Vettriano jump started his artistic career, submitting two canvases for the Royal Scottish Academy annual show in which both his paintings sold on the first day. After being approached by several galleries who wanted to sell his other work, Jack moved to Edinburgh and changed his last name to Vettriano, adding an "a" to his mother's maiden name. Inspired by his many muses, Vettriano’s paintings have mainly focused on women and have formed the subject of some of his most popular and significant paintings, including the “Singing Butler” and “Mad Dogs”. |
